Legal medical Marijuana usage is on the rise, but what happens when you take it before hitting the gym. What does the science say about smoking and fitness?
Cortisol (stress) is related to lower testosterone levels. Less cortisol means higher testosterone. Getting high now and again might relieve stress and help as a testosterone booster, which would improve mood and workouts. As for actually working out high, I'd say there's no benefit personally.
Wouldnt smoke it though. I would recommend either taking an edible or vaporizing the flower (not wax or liquid). Smoking still realeses many toxic carinogens and produces tar in the lungs. You still run the risk of developing COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) down the road and COPD is progressive, irreversible, and wull have you living the rest of your life with a tank of medical grade Oxygen. Be safe friends, and dont drive high.
I think using weed to help you relax after a tough gym session helps. There are many times where I finish working out and I can't relax at home for a few hours because I feel a huge boost in my energy. Weed helps me come down, relax, and I'm sure it helps some of the inflammation created by lifting heavy.

Ive always gotten high before workout but if you are serious about training properly with correct form & focus, I’d recommend not smoking.
