You said in the lecture "(marijuana) does nothing for bones".
I may have misquoted, but you stated confusion concerning the potential use of marijuana for osteoporosis.
Allow me to explain briefly, endocannabinoids regulate bone metabolism and cannabidiol has been shown in preclinical in vivo research with mice… With models of bone fracture, healing time was reduced and strength of the bone at point of maximal injury after healing with CBD supplementation showed enhanced strength of bone. Also, if chronic inflammation or cancer is catalyzing the bone loss or weakening, then cannabis may have an indirect effect by reducing those secondary driving factors.
Activity is also good for bones and cannabis could be used to promote activity (of course, abuse in adolescents is linked to a motivation, however, proper use enhances mobility in chronic pain models). This impact on mood and mobility enhances ones desire for physical activity, therefore another indirect effect.
JUST SAY KNOW 1963, US National Institute for Health (NIH) denies Dr. Mechoulam a grant stating they don't support research on Cannabis as its use was not an American problem. 1964, A US Senator calls NIH and asks whether Marijuana would destroy the brain his son had been smoking it. 1964-present, NIH begins funding Dr. Mechoulam's Cannabis research in Israel. 1975, "Lewis lung adenocarcinoma growth was retarded by the oral administration of THC and CBN." First of all is called cannabis not marijuana. And this lecture is extremely inaccurate and bias.
