interesting points ,if anyone else wants to discover aquaponics diy try Aqua Recovery Tactics (http://aqua.RecoveryTactics.com ) ? Ive heard some interesting things about it and my buddy got amazing results with it.
To say that hydroponic fertilizers are more harmful than what might be used in aquaponics seems rather ignorant to me… Nitrogen is nitrogen, whether it be made from decomposing feces, or in a lab. What really matters is that the sourcing of nutrients be sustainable, and actually, there's arguments on both sides of the spectrum (hydro vs aqua) that are good/bad. With that said, from what I understand, the thing that could become harmful is the use of pesticides.
Dirt at this moment and those plants look weak. 30,000 gallons tank plan on doing some fish farming. plan on doing fill & drain YouTube ozofskunk what just a 4 by 8 foot space can do. will not use stuff growers use a bunch of chemicals fertilizers so I have to do it myself.
Oh yeah in the usa WE ARE VOTING THIS IN RIGHT NOW AND IF POLITICIANS DONT LIKE IT..THEYLL GET VOTED OUT. OH YES THE USA MIDTERM ELECTIONS ARE GETTING CLOSE
funny how the government wont ban alcohol or cigarettes. Because the government is run like a business thats why its illegal. until they can make money out of it then it wont be legalised. Fuck the government i urge everyone to turn their backs and grow themselves. become food independant themselves and eventually they will get the hint.
Kudos for the Video clip! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you heard the talk about – Patlarny Gardening Expert Principle (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a good exclusive guide for learning how to expand your produce with the clever art of aquaponics minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my friend Sam after a lifetime of fighting got astronomical results with it.
My aquaponic bed is going to be indoors under a window, in a 65 gallon tub (south exposure). I am interesting in foliage plants that will consume a lot of nitrates, not really interested in vegetables. Any recommendations on plants? I have used Pothos, but I am not sure they are the best for purifying the water and looking really good to. Thank you
Being a biologist with a MS in, ahh I hate using this term but people assume I know a lot about oceanic life "ichthyology" and fresh water studies. A BS in Fish Management and Aquaculture and a BS in Chemistry, with over a year studying under a renowned master chemist. I could talk for days about this. My first two years I studied under a brilliant fish man with a degree from MIT who then transferred to a university with a school of natural resources. He swore back in 2005 we'd never see aquaponics in our lives! So of course a friend who had a degree in engineering and graphics design and myself fooled around with it. We found my teacher was telling the truth at the time and maybe to an extent still the truth since there were just a few people we could find with large aquaponic setups. They all and still do share the same thing and that's it never a TRUE aquaponic setup like I worked on in China. Poor growth rates with what ever aquatic species they use is a common theme. Plant growth is always though the roof! Now everyone is attempting it and growing fish in a complex system that depends on all three factors working 100% of the time are all over. As soon as I saw DWC on here I'm still waiting for someone to figure out what we did. Still haven't seen it but people like you are getting close. Having the ability to grow fish and breed them at will is a huge advantage for us but keep up what you're doing and if you have any questions let me know. Also I'd like to hear more people talk about the benefits of growing carp species. It's holding a lot of growers her in the States back. Cheers.
