I wouldn't use anything electric around such a highly flammable liquid [butane], for there is always a risk of sparks, especially an electric brush motor that some or most vacuum pumps use, the brushes that make contact with the rotor in the motor, create sparks, including Ozone [O3] when oxygen makes contact with the sparks, which is toxic. I would wrap the electric cooker in a strong plastic bag to minimize any combustion due to unwanted sparks. Some older cookers use a mechanical thermostat to control the temperature, which can produce a spark when a relay that controls the heating element, opens and closes. In fact any thermostat that uses an electronic reply, and most do, can create a spark. BE VERY CAREFUL!

you're fine dude don't listen to all dem Hippy folk. Try shooting it directly into a lg. bowl of water. Yes water! you can skip the whole evap. step. remember water and oil don't mix. take a spoon and skim off the oil, it works great!!! much safer too.
